I recently spoke to a student who participated in scramble in scramble
he laughed at me and said “IT’S A JOKE!”
he continued to explain that most spots are for US grads who did not match in a prelim or transitional position.

another stated that he applied through eras and waited to be called upon… guess what? no one called him.

another had friends helped him scramble had the prilivage to speak to numerous PD but no offers.
out of the 10-15 people I spoke to One luck guy actually matched in to Emergency medicine!
